Title or Location: In the shadows of Old Harry
I am fascinated by the play of light on water and of course the coast provides many sources of inspiration. I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with Old Harry Rocks Rocks in Dorset for a number of my paintings. However, I was particularly taken by the complex reflections and glimpses of brighter skies through gaps in the cliffs in a great photo taken while paddle boarding by @squashedant. I have resolved to experience the view from the water myself one of these days!Acrylic on canva

This piece is painted on a Loxley artist?s panel 254x203mm . In acrylic paint.I have always loved wildfowl in all its variety. But the Goldeneye was one I had not seen on my travels. Well that is until I was walking through Hide park in the centre of London and on the lake was a small flock of them ? Along with a Smew but that?s another story. Now I?m happy to say I see Goldeneye on my local lake at Colwick Park.

This oil is 20x24 on stretched canvas. I employed several photos to create this art. I love to bring out the colors of the evening or sunrise. The glorious shades of light caught at a glimpse of the moment brings magic to the creation! Here is a young buck investigating the cove for safety before he brings the herd in for the night. His predecessor had just been shot and he now reigns over the herd. He is a young buck ready to prove he can protect the gift of leadership. It is a blessi
