It was a great 2 hour workshop! The teacher Lorraine M was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. She provided so many resources for us to use and her quality of teaching was excellent! She also excelled in encouraging the less confident members of the group!

Lorraine is a good teacher, explaining techniques with demonstrations. This week, she brought in flowers and items to facilitate still life watercolour art. The warm up exercise was good fun and her and her ability to understand me as an artist was much appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed this session.

Painting done from photographs I took whilst being dragged around around Nottingham kicking and screaming by my wife. Just pure luck that I captured the three buses of different colours together on one photo. The girl with the umbrella was from a separate photo.

I received a wood burner in 2020 and for a while just wood burned wood slices for Christmas ornaments. Last year (2025) I decided to try and do some bigger things, I did deer, a wolf, and some dragons. Captain Jack is one of my favourite characters, and I wanted to capture the hi

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
